Where did I get the name The Samseng Intellectual?

Well, I am a law student, and I am deeply concerned about social issues, politics, the rule of law, technology, and the NBA, especially my favourite team the Houston Rockets.

Random ideas and revelations pop out in my head at the most unexpected of times, regarding the aforementioned issues.

This is where I record my thoughts. Hence, I flatter myself by calling myself an intellectual.

The word Samseng? Well it is derived from a hokkien/malay word which is roughly translated to gangsters. I am educated, moderately refined, reasonably smart, but I am also angry, brash, and I don't mince my words. I don't apply to the elitist, high society bullshit posturing often associated with intellectuals. So in a way, I am a thug compared to those generally narcissistic douchebags. 

In my blog, I am gonna swear, curse, make accusations, and I rarely bother trying to act objective(because none of us are).

Let's face it, there is this fucking stiff ruler within our subconscious self of which we measure other people with. None of us are objective. We can try, but we never are. So lets have the courtesy not to sicken other people with your holier-than-thou posturing.
